John’s proudest Gaffney fact is that some of his staff has been with him since his first years in business. When you step into Gaffney’s there is an overwhelming sense of warmth, friendliness and most importantly, that old Saratoga historic relaxed feeling.
Chefs Bobby Holt and Kevin Myers have fine-tuned the menu over the past few years to include dishes like the infamous New Orleans Creole butter and Crawfish Etouffee, a true Italian Bolognaise, Saratoga’s most scrumptious Burger with freshly sliced fries cut on the premises, and mouth watering filet mignon’s and steaks. Both chefs are two of the Capitol Region’s most talented!
Kim Smith,the General Manager, started with Gaffney’s in 1987 and is typically the first to greet you and make you feel welcome. Kim manages a staff of 90 plus in the summer and is always wearing a smile!
Other long timers include Tommy “Cabbage”, who has literally been behind the original Gaffney’s bar since 1984! While he might not greet you with a smile, he will always make you feel welcome in that special Tommy kind of way.
Lisa Zuccaro is also a crucial member of the Gaffney’s team and is the manager of all the bars. She has been with Gaffney’s for over 15 years and is responsible for the hiring, training and scheduling of the bartenders, bar-backs and door people.
Old or new each employee is apart of the Gaffney’s family and there to ensure all our customers have a great time!
